Offizielle EU-Kennzeichnungssymbole
Providers of generative AI systems and deployers can use these symbols to label certain AI-generated or manipulated content in line with transparency rules. For each symbol: when to use it, example uses, and download.
AI content
When to use: When content was created wholly or partly with AI and users should be able to tell.
Example uses:
- AI-generated product copy on the website
- Automatically drafted blog posts that get published
AI-generated
When to use: When content was fully or substantially produced by a generative AI system.
Example uses:
- AI images in campaigns
- AI-voiced audio or video clips without a human presenter
AI-modified
When to use: When existing content (e.g. photos or videos) was altered with AI so it looks authentic.
Example uses:
- Deepfake-style face or voice manipulation
- Product photos heavily changed with generative tools
These symbols support transparency under current EU guidance. They do not replace legal advice. Whether and when labelling is required depends on the specific use case and the law in force.
